"GOD'S LOVE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-15
I LOVE WRITING ABOUT THE LOVE THAT GOD HAS FOR US.  WE SAY IT ALL THE TIME, "GOD, I LOVE YOU", BUT DO YOU SHOW IT?  IF YOU REALLY UNDERSTAND THIS NEXT SCRIPTURE, YOU WOULD SHOW IT MORE.  SO, DO YOU KNOW JUST HOW MUCH HE LOVES YOU?  HE ACTUALLY LOVES YOU AS MUCH AS HE LOVES JESUS.  THAT IS WHAT JESUS TELLS US WHEN HE IS TALKING TO GOD IN JOHN 17:22-23 AS HE SAYS, "And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me."  THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU WANT TO REJOICE.  IT MAKES ME CRY WITH TEARS OF JOY EVERY TIME I READ IT.

HAVE YOU TOLD HIM TODAY THAT YOU LOVE HIM?  WE SHOULD BE TELLING HIM ALL THE TIME FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US.  DOESN'T IT MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD WHEN SOMEONE, ESPECIALLY YOUR CHILDREN, TELLS YOU THAT THEY LOVE YOU?  WELL, I WOULD THINK IT MAKES GOD, JESUS AND HOLY SPIRIT FEEL GOOD WHEN THEY HEAR IT FROM US.

IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH WE MESS UP, THEY STILL LOVE US.  BECAUSE OF JESUS, GOD DOES NOT SEE OUR SIN. THIS IS WHY WE CAN GO DIRECTLY TO HIM WITH OUR PROBLEMS AS LONG AS WE ASK IN THE NAME OF JESUS.  THE BIBLE SAYS THAT AS JESUS IS, SO ARE WE, IN THIS WORLD (1ST JOHN 4:17) AND NOTHING CAN TAKE THAT LOVE FROM US.  PAUL SAYS THIS IN ROMANS 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

WHEN YOU ARE FEELING DOWN, JUST REMEMBER HOW MUCH YOU ARE LOVED AND IT WILL TAKE ALL THE CARES OF THIS WORLD AWAY.  I LIKE WHAT ANDREW WOMMACK ONCE SAID, "GOD LOVES US SO MUCH THAT I'LL BET HE HAS PICTURES OF US ON HIS REFRIGERATOR".

IF YOU REALLY LOVE HIM, INSTEAD OF JUST TELLING HIM, SHOW HIM.  YOU CAN DO THIS BY KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS.  THAT IS WHAT JESUS SAYS IN JOHN 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments. THIS IS THE LEAST WE CAN DO AND IT WILL SHOW HIM THAT WE LOVE HIM.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"STEWARS OF GOD'S GRACE" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Stewards Of God's Grace

July 15th

Luke 12:42 'And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his Lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?'

LUKE 12:42

A steward is a person who has been entrusted with administering someone else's wealth or affairs. The possessions a steward controls are not his own and he does not have the freedom to do with them as he wishes. He is supposed to carry out the desires of the one who made him steward.

A banker is a steward. He has been entrusted with other people's money. He is free to invest that money wisely in a way that will benefit his depositors and stockholders, but would be sent to jail if he took all that money and simply consumed it upon himself. A steward is accountable (Lk. 16:2) to someone else for the use of that person's money. The money does not belong to him even though it is in his possession.

This parable, and other scriptures (1 Cor. 4:1; Ti. 1:7; 1 Pet. 4:10), describes every believer as a steward of God's grace. The wealth, talents, and abilities we possess, as well as the revelation of God's love that we've been given, are not our own to do with as we please. We have received these things from God and are therefore accountable to Him for the use or misuse of these gifts. Keeping this in mind is essential for fulfilling our obligation to God as stewards of His 'manifold grace.'

"THE GOODNESS OF GOD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

The Goodness Of God

July 14th

Luke 12:5 'But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.'

LUKE 12:4-5

Second Timothy 1:7 says, 'God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' First John 4:18 says, 'There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.' These scriptures may look like they are contradictions to Jesus' statement here; however, they are not.

There are two kinds of fear. The American Heritage Dictionary defines fear as 'a feeling of alarm or disquiet caused by the expectation of danger, pain, disaster, or the like; terror; dread; apprehension.' It also defines fear as 'extreme reverence or awe, as toward a supreme power.'

It is this reverence or awe that God's Word teaches saints to have towards God. Hebrews 12:28 says that there is a godly fear with which we are supposed to serve God and thereby implies that there is an ungodly fear that is not acceptable in serving God.

Satan has always used this ungodly dread or terror to torment godly people. Those who have been born again should have no dread or terror of God unless they are planning to renounce their faith in Jesus as their Savior. We have a covenant that guarantees us acceptance with God (Eph. 1:6), as long as we hold fast to our profession of faith in the atoning blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

For an unbeliever, the fear of the Lord is a great deterrent from sin. However, for those of us who have received the grace of God, it is His goodness that causes us to fear him and depart from sin. His goodness is awesome!

"GOD LOVES YOU" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-14
DO YOU THINK GOD PUT ADAM AND EVE OUT OF THE GARDEN OF EDEN BECAUSE HE WAS ANGRY AFTER THEY SINNED?  HE ACTUALLY PUT THEM OUT BECAUSE HE LOVED THEM AND ALL OF US, WHO ARE THEIR DESCENDANTS.  HE WANTED TO MAKE SURE THEY DIDN'T EAT OF "THE TREE OF LIFE" AND LIVE FOREVER IN A CORRUPT BODY.  CAN YOU IMAGINE LIVING FOREVER BEING BLIND, DEAF OR HAVING NO ARMS OR LEGS? THAT IS WHAT WE WOULD BE GOING THROUGH IF THEY HAD EATEN OF "THE TREE OF LIFE".  HE EVEN PUT ANGELS THERE TO MAKE SURE THEY DIDN'T.

HE DIDN'T EVEN HOLD ADAM'S AND EVE'S SIN AGAINST THEM OR EVEN CAIN FOR KILLING ABLE.  IT TELLS US THIS IN ROMANS 5:13 WHERE IT SAYS "For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law."  THE LAW, "THE TEN COMMANDMENTS", DID NOT COME UNTIL MOSES, MANY YEARS LATER.

SO GOD WAS NOT HOLDING SINS AGAINST THE PEOPLE THEN, BEFORE THE LAW, AND HE IS NOT HOLDING OUR SINS AGAINST US NOW SINCE JESUS.  JESUS DIED FOR "ALL" SIN.  NOW THAT IS LOVE.

I KNOW I KEEP REPEATING MYSELF BUT THAT IS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS.  IF YOU ARE NOT BORN AGAIN, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ACCEPT THE GIFT OF SALVATION. GOD LOVES YOU AND ONLY SEES YOU, NOT YOUR SIN, BUT YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT JESUS.  ASK A CHRISTIAN FRIEND TO TELL YOU ABOUT HIM OR FIND A BIBLE SOMEWHERE AND READ MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE AND JOHN.  THOSE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE TELL YOU ALL ABOUT JESUS.  JUST TELL JESUS YOU ARE A SINNER AND ASK HIM TO HELP YOU AND YOU WANT HIM TO BE YOUR SAVIOR.  HE IS WAITING AND TODAY COULD BE YOUR DAY OF SALVATION.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"HYPOCRISY IS......" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-13

Hypocrisy Is.....

July 13th

Luke 12:1 'In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.'

LUKE 12:1-3

This is the biblical definition of a hypocrite, 'someone whose words and heart (actions) don't agree.' A hypocrite may act the part of a Christian or talk like Christ, but he or she won't do both. Hypocrisy is defined by the dictionary as, 'The feigning of beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; insincerity' (American Heritage Dictionary). In the Greek, the word is 'hupokrisis' and means 'the playing of a part on the stage.'

Hypocrisy is often said to be doing something even though you don't want to or feel like doing it. It is true that God demands that our motive and reason for doing things be right, but this does not mean that we always want to, or delight in, doing something. To do what God wants you to do, or to do unto others what you would want them to do unto you, is not hypocrisy (Mt. 7:12)- even if you don't feel like doing it. It is hypocrisy only when your motive for doing it is wrong and you're not genuinely seeking the welfare and benefit of others. Remember, Jesus didn't feel like going to the cross, but He went anyway to seek the welfare and benefit of the world.

Agape love is described as the, 'love (that) can be known only from the actions it prompts.' This is not the love of complacency or affection, that is, it was not drawn out by any excellency in its objects (Rom. 5:8).

Christian love (agape), whether exercised toward the brethren, or toward others generally, is not an impulse from the feelings. It does not always run with the natural inclinations. It (Agape) seeks the welfare of all (Rom. 15:2) and works no ill to any (Rom. 13:8-10). '(Agape) seeks opportunity to do good to all men. . .' Let God's love flow through you today.

"ARE YOU READY FOR JESUS?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-13

FACEBOOK BROUGHT THIS MESSAGE UP AS ONE OF MY MEMORIES AND IT GOT ME TO THINKING.  WAS I REALLY READY?  AS FAR AS GOING TO HEAVEN, I HAVE NO DOUBTS,  BUT, HAVE I DONE ALL I CAN FOR JESUS?  I HAVE DECIDED TO SPEND MORE OF MY TIME IN TELLING MORE PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE HE HAS FOR ALL OF US AND SPENDING MORE TIME WITH HIM.  I WOULD LOVE TO BE SPENDING TIME WITH HIM AS HE IS COMING FOR US ALL.

LET ME ASK YOU THIS, IF YOU KNEW THAT YOU WERE GOING TO DIE NEXT SATURDAY AT 12 NOON, WHAT WOULD YOUR WEEK BE LIKE?  WOULD YOU KEEP DOING THE SAME THINGS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN DOING IN THE PAST?  WOULD YOU MAKE SURE YOU ARE RIGHT WITH GOD AND THAT YOU WILL GO TO BE WITH HIM?  WOULD YOU TRY EVERYTHING YOU KNOW HOW TO DO TO GET YOUR KIDS SAVED, AND YOUR PARENTS, EVEN YOUR FRIENDS THAT YOU KNOW ARE LOST?

THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING ANYWAY, ALL THE TIME, WHETHER YOU KNOW YOU ARE DYING OR NOT.  THE SAME GOES IF YOU NEW FOR SURE THAT JESUS WAS COMING BACK ON THAT DAY.  THESE THREE VERSES WILL TELL YOU TO BE READY.

1ST THESSALONIANS 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  BE READY!!!

REVELATION 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.  BE READY!!!

REVELATION 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.  BE READY!!!

THE REALITY OF ALL THIS IS THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW IF YOU EVEN HAVE THAT LONG.  TAKE A HARD LOOK AT YOUR LIFE AND SEE IF JESUS WOULD APPROVE.  IF NOT, THEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO.  I PRAY THAT WE WILL ALL BE READY.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"THE POWER OF GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-12

DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT THE POWER OF GOD IS?  ROMANS 1:16 SAYS IT IS THE GOSPEL.  DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE GOSPEL IS?  1ST CORINTHIANS 15:3  SAYS IT IS THAT JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS, WAS BURIED AND ROSE AGAIN AND THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IN ORDER TO BE BORN AGAIN AND IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, YOU HAVE THE POWER OF GOD.

DO YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING REALLY EXCEPTIONAL TODAY?  GO TO SOMEONE WHO IS SICK AND HEAL THEM.  YOU REALLY DO HAVE THAT POWER. YOU AND I KNOW THAT IT IS THROUGH JESUS THAT WE GET THIS POWER TO HEAL BUT IF WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO USE IT, HE WOULD NOT HAVE TOLD US TO.  "MATTHEW 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." OUR PROBLEM IS NOT THAT WE DON'T THINK JESUS CAN HEAL, WE ARE JUST NOT SURE HE WILL DO IT FOR US.

WHEN YOU DO PRAY FOR SOMEONE, DON'T EXPECT IT TO HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY.  SOMETIMES IT DOES BUT THE BIBLE SAYS IN MARK 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  IT DOESN'T SAY YOU MIGHT HAVE THEM, IT SAYS YOU SHALL HAVE THEM.  AND, AFTER YOU PRAY FOR THAT HEALING, DON'T PRAY FOR IT AGAIN.  IF YOU DO, IT SHOWS THAT YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE BECAUSE IF YOU BELIEVED YOU RECEIVED, WHY WOULD YOU PRAY FOR THAT SAME THING AGAIN?  JESUS IS FAITHFUL AND WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS.  JUST START PRAYING THAT THE HEALING HE HAS PROVIDED WILL BE MANIFESTED INTO THAT PERSON AND THEN START THANKING AND PRAISING HIM FOR THAT HEALING.

NOW GO OUT TODAY AND SHOW THE POWER OF GOD.  SOMEONE JUST MIGHT BE DEPENDING ON YOU.  AND WHILE YOU ARE OUT THERE AND IF YOU KNOW ABOUT SOMEONE THAT IS NOT SAVED, LEAD THEM TO JESUS.  THE POWER WORKS FOR THAT ALSO AND THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE HEALING.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"JESUS, THE WISDOM OF GOD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Jesus, The Wisdom Of God

July 12th

Luke 11:49 'Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute.'

LUKE 11:46-49

This phrase 'Therefore also said the wisdom of God,' is a part of Luke's narrative and not the words of Jesus. Luke is saying that Jesus is the wisdom of God, a truth well-established in scripture.

There is no way to access the wisdom of God except through Jesus. Until a person receives Christ, he is missing the only source of true wisdom. Men and women are incapable of receiving the wisdom of God, but those who submit themselves to God have access to the wisdom of God on their own, through the Holy Spirit. We must be dependent upon the Holy Spirit to receive the wisdom of God in our lives.

A Christian who has not received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit can have some revelation knowledge, but it will be limited. One of the greatest evidences that an individual has received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the tremendous amount of God's wisdom that becomes available to him.

The truths of the Gospel, and the power of God that these truths release, can only be imparted through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Human wisdom, regardless of how eloquent it is, cannot convey the life of God. Much of the preaching of the Gospel today is done in man's wisdom. It's impressive to the carnal mind, but it leaves the spirit starving for the touch of God. The greatest need among ministers today is not to have more of the world's education, but to receive the revelation knowledge of the Holy Spirit. Only words spoken by the Spirit of God can reach the spirit of man. Spiritual thoughts have to be spoken with spiritual words (1 Cor. 2:13).

"ARE YOU USABLE?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-11

WHAT WOULD YOU GIVE UP FOR JESUS?  WOULD YOU GIVE UP YOUR HOME? WHAT ABOUT YOUR JOB?  IF HE ASKED YOU TO MOVE TO A FOREIGN COUNTRY TO PREACH HIS WORD, WOULD YOU DO IT?  THESE ARE QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE TO ANSWER ONE DAY.  I HAVE OFTEN THOUGHT OF WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER IF HE ASK ME TO GO.  I WILL HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I DON'T THINK I WOULD HAVE.  I WAS NOT THAT STRONG IN HIS WORD AND I DIDN'T KNOW THEN WHAT I DO NOW AND I CAN SAY, WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, THAT, EVEN AT AGE OF 80, IF HE TOLD ME TO GO, I WOULD, BECAUSE I KNOW HE WOULD EQUIP ME WITH WHATEVER I NEEDED.

YOU SEE, I HAVE LEARNED OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS THAT ALL THE THINGS THAT YOU CAN THINK OF THAT COULD GO WRONG OR THAT WOULD BE SO INCONVENIENT IS NOTHING TO WHAT HE WILL SUPPLY YOU WITH TO OVERCOME ALL OF THE BAD THINGS.  ALL HE WANTS IS OUR OBEDIENCE AND WHEN WE OBEY HIM, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT FOR US.  HE WILL NEVER GIVE US SOMETHING THAT WE ARE NOT PREPARED FOR.

SO, IF YOU WANT TO BE USED BY GOD, GET INTO HIS WORD AND GET PREPARED. 2ND CHRONICLES 16:9 SAYS "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him."  WILL YOU BE THE ONE HE FINDS AND WILL YOU BE PREPARED?  I SURE HOPE SO.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

"HOLINESS IS A FRUIT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2019-07-11

Holiness Is A Fruit

July 11th

Luke 11:42 'But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done and not to leave the other undone.'

LUKE 11:42-44

When Jesus said, 'and not to leave the other undone,' it is clear that He is not arguing against doing what is right. God's Word stresses holiness in our actions. The Pharisees' error that caused Jesus' rebuke was that they believed their actions could produce a right relationship with God. But a proper relationship with God can only come by humbling ourselves and putting faith in a Savior, who is Jesus. God cleanses our hearts by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8) and then we have our fruit unto holiness (Rom. 6:22). Holiness is a fruit, not a root, of salvation.

In a similar instance found in Matthew 23:26, Jesus told the Pharisees, 'Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.' True Christianity comes from the inside out. A good heart will change a man's actions, but a man's actions cannot change his heart.

One of religion's favorite doctrines is that if you will just act right, you will be right. Nothing could be further from the truth. You must be born again. And if you are born again, then holiness is a by-product and not the way to a relationship with God.

This is the heart of the Gospel. Every major religion of the world has a moral standard it enforces, but only Christianity offers salvation through a Savior. Presenting holiness in any way other than as a result of salvation is denying Jesus as our Savior and places the burden of salvation on us. Improper emphasis on achieving holiness or salvation through one's own actions can damn that person. We must trust Jesus completely.
