Religious Pride Brings Dissension
Mark 15:10 'For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.'
The Jews were God's chosen people and therefore, God's representatives on earth. Yet, they lied and condemned an innocent man to death. Pilate could see that their real motivation for wanting Jesus dead was envy. They were doing all their religious works to be seen of men, and were upset that Jesus was getting more recognition than they were. If these Jews would have thought about what type of witness they were giving, even they would have known that their actions were not inspired by God.

Although Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent, he looked for some diplomatic way to release Jesus that would not cause him to lose popularity with the Jewish leaders. This is why he sent Jesus to Herod. He hoped that Herod would pass judgment on Jesus and save him the trouble.

Base Your Relationships On God
Matthew 24:12 'And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.'
The only reason that an abundance of iniquity would make anyone's love for the Lord wax cold, is if he were not separated from that iniquity. As with Lot, a righteous man can vex his soul from day to day by hearing and seeing the unlawful deeds of the ungodly (2 Pet. 2:8).
We have to deal with the world's system and those in it, but we need to be careful and maintain proper balance. We should shun relationships with those who influence us negatively more than we influence them positively.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE THAT SINCE THE WORD "TRINITY" IS NOT FOUND IN THE BIBLE, THAT THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN A TRIUNE GOD. I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT THESE PEOPLE DON'T CARE THE FIRST THING ABOUT GOD BUT JUST LOVE TO ARGUE WITH ANYONE ABOUT THE BIBLE. THEY HAVE READ IT AND EVEN STUDIED IT, NOT TO LEARN OF GOD, BUT TO BE ABLE TO ARGUE WELL. WE JUST HAVE TO PRAY FOR THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE SATAN HAS DECEIVED THEM AND IS USING THEM.
Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving-. It is supposed to be a time of love and gratitude-hospitality-a time of sharing with family and friends. Unfortunately it isn't always a time of celebration. For some it comes at time of loneliness - people who no longer have loved ones close for any number of reasons. Or when the family is dysfunctional such in the case of divorce - addictions - misunderstandings. Steve and I experienced this first hand this year - seeing some of our family members torn apart and rifts within the family. We chose to spend it alone without all the drama. But thanks to our Pastor our thanksgiving day was redeemed when he asked us to take a meal to an elderly person living alone. It made our day to visit with this person-stepping outside of our comfort zone and giving of ourselves to someone else. We were THANK(S)ful that we could do our part by GIVING to someone else. It isn't about us and what we get or don't get. It is about what we can give to others...
I KNOW THERE ARE THINGS WE HAVE TO DO, AND NOT DO, TO HAVE OUR PRAYERS ANSWERED. Guard Against Deception
Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Deception can be avoided or else Jesus would not have said, 'Take heed that no man deceive you.' Satan can only deceive those who allow him to do it.
Ephesians 6:11 tells us to 'Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.' Putting on the whole armour of God will protect you from the deception of the devil. Just wearing part of God's armour will not fully protect you.
