"KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS

HAVE YOU EVER JUST SAT AND THOUGHT ABOUT WHY GOD CREATED US?  HE KNEW WHAT WE WOULD DO.  HE KNEW ADAM WOULD SIN AND HE KNEW WHAT HE WOULD HAVE TO DO TO REDEEM THIS WORLD.  HE KNEW EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN, AND YET, HE STILL CREATED US.

I WILL GIVE YOU MY THOUGHTS.  WE KNOW GOD IS LOVE AND WE KNOW HOW MUCH HE LOVES US AND WANTS US TO LOVE HIM.  I BELIEVE HE MADE US WITH A FREE WILL SO WE COULD CHOOSE, FOR OURSELVES, WHETHER WE WANTED TO LOVE HIM OR NOT.  HE COULD HAVE MADE US ALL TO LOVE HIM LIKE ROBOTS BUT HE DIDN'T.  I BELIEVE HE JUST WANTED SOMEONE TO REALLY LOVE HIM JUST BECAUSE WE CHOOSE TO.

I ALSO BELIEVE HE WENT THROUGH ALL THAT HE DID SO HE WOULD HAVE SOMEONE TO FELLOWSHIP WITH ALL THROUGH...

"REJOICE IN THE LORD - ALWAYS" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Rejoice In The Lord - Always

John 16:33 'These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.'

The world experiences joy and happiness in direct proportion to their circumstances. Bad circumstances produce depression and sorrow, while good circumstances produce joy and peace. That's bondage, and does not have to be the case for a Christian. Our joy is not dependent on things, but rather on the person of Jesus Christ. He is our peace and joy.

The way we take advantage of this joy and peace in the midst of tribulation, is to have our minds and hearts stayed on things above and not on things of this earth. The invisible things of God are eternal while the...

"OVERCOME TRIBULATION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Overcome Tribulation

John 16:33 'These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.'

Jesus said we would have tribulation. He did not say that He was the one bringing the tribulation or what the tribulation would be, but He said it would come. Then He made the amazing statement that in the midst of tribulation we were to be of good cheer.

Tribulations exist because there is a battle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. When we operate in faith, God is able to grant us such victory that we are actually better off because of the battle. It's just like when a army goes to war. If they win, they gain spoils. But if they embrace their...

"GOD IS LOVE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

GOD IS LOVE

I HAVE A LOT OF VERSES IN THE BIBLE THAT I TRULY LOVE.  DON'T GET ME WRONG, I LOVE THE WHOLE BIBLE BUT SOME VERSES ARE JUST BEAUTIFUL.  THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM ON LOVE. ONE OF MY FAVORITES ON LOVE IS 1ST JOHN 4:7-8 WHICH SAYS "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."  I HAVE OFTEN WONDERED HOW THIS VERSE RELATES TO AN ISLAMIC TERRORIST.  THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS TO ASK MYSELF, "WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?"

WE HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT JESUS DIED FOR US KNOWING THAT WE WOULD BE BORN INTO A SINFUL WORLD AND THAT WE WOULD BE SINNERS. WE ALSO HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT HE DIED FOR THAT ISLAMIC TERRORIST...
YOU BE THE BIBLE FOR THE LOST TO READ

HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO THINK OF A WAY TO TELL UNBELIEVERS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS?  JESUS TOLD HIS DISCIPLES THAT IT COULDN'T BE DONE.  HE SAID THAT IT WAS NOT FOR THEM TO UNDERSTAND.  LOOK WHAT HE SAYS IN LUKE 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

IF WE CAN'T GET THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE, WE CAN GIVE THEM SOMETHING THAT WILL GET THEM THINKING ABOUT JESUS.  IT IS CALLED PLANTING A SEED.  I WILL GIVE YOU ONE THING I DID.  AS MOST OF YOU KNOW I PLAYED POKER FOR A LIVING SOME TIME BACK.  ONE NIGHT BEFORE THE GAME SOMEONE ASK ME WHAT MY FAVORITE CARD WAS.  I TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS THE KING OF HEARTS.  HE ASK ME WHY THE KING OF HEARTS AND NOT THE ACE OF HEARTS.  I TOLD HIM, AND ALL...

"BE A WITNESS, NOT A JUDGE" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-10-26

Be A Witness, Not A Judge

John 16:8 'And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:'

It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to reprove sin, righteousness, and judgment. It is not our ministry. We are simply witnesses. A witness is not the judge or the jury. A witness simply relates what he has experienced, thereby providing evidence to the truth of something. We are to witness in word and deed, to the truth of Jesus being alive in us and let God be the one who convicts. We are simply to testify to what we have seen or to what has happened to us.

Some people in their zeal, have gone beyond the witness stage and have tried to bring people under conviction themselves. This is assuming the job that belongs to the...

"JESUS IS THINKING ABOUT YOU" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

JESUS IS THINKING ABOUT YOU

ISN'T IT GREAT TO KNOW THAT GOD HAS THOUGHTS OF PEACE TOWARD US. THAT IS WHAT JEREMIAH 29:11 SAYS "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."  JUST TO THINK THAT THE GOD OF THIS WHOLE UNIVERSE, THE ONE WHO CREATED US AND EVERYTHING, THINKS ABOUT US. WHEN READING THIS, WE HAVE TO REALIZE THIS PROPHESY WAS HUNDREDS OF YEARS BEFORE JESUS, OUR LORD, WAS EVEN BORN.  I WOULD ASSUME THAT THE "EXPECTED END" WOULD BE OUR SALVATION AND OUR BEING ABLE TO LIVE WITH HIM FOREVER. THAT IS AN "EXPECTED END" I AM GOING TO ENJOY.

IN THE NEXT TWO VERSES OF...

"EMBRACE HOLY SPIRIT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Embrace Holy Spirit

John 16:7 'Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.'

The Greek word translated 'expedient' means 'to be an advantage; profitable.'

How could any situation be more advantageous or profitable than having Jesus physically with you?

When Jesus walked on this earth in His physical body, He was subject to many physical limitations. For instance, He could not always be with every one of His disciples all the time. Through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, He could. Instead of Satan getting rid of Jesus, 120 'little Christs' (that is literally what the word 'Christian' means) came out of the upper room on...

"EXPECT PERSECUTION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-10-24

Expect Persecution

John 15:19 'If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.'

We should not think it is strange to be persecuted. 'All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution' (2 Tim. 3:12). We can actually rejoice because we are being persecuted for Jesus' sake, and the Lord will be with us in the midst of the persecution. When we stand before Him, there will be more than ample reward.

Persecution is a token that those persecuting you are under conviction. They realize that they are not living what your words or actions are advocating and in self defense, they attack you, who they perceive is the source of their...

HEALED AND FORGIVEN, BOTH IN THE ATONEMENT

DO YOU KNOW WHAT ATONEMENT MEANS?  IT IS MENTIONED IN ROMANS 5:10-11 AND IT SAYS "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement."  THE GREEK WORD THAT WAS TRANSLATED "ATONEMENT" IS "kATALLAGE" AND STRONG'S CONCORDANCE SAYS IT MEANS "EXCHANGE".  WITH THAT MEANING IN MIND, READ THE FOLLOWING.

HE EXCHANGED OUR SINS FOR HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AS IT SAYS IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in...
