"JUST WORDS" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-04-02

Just Words

Matthew 12:37, 'For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.'

MATTHEW 12:34-37

God created the heavens and the earth and everything that is in the earth by His words (Heb. 11:3). The whole creation was made by, and responds to, words. Our words, when spoken in faith, release either life or death (Prov. 18:21) and will affect people, things, and circumstances. We can release the power that is in faith by our words.

Every word counts. There is no such things as an 'idle' word which will not work for us or against us. Our words can be our most powerful weapon against the devil, or they can become a snare of the devil (Prov. 6:2). Faith-filled words can move mountains.

The...

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR ALL SEASONS

I WAS READING ONE OF MY OLD MESSAGES FROM A FEW YEARS AGO AND IT WAS CHRISTMAS TIME WHEN I WROTE IT AND I OBVIOUSLY WROTE ABOUT JESUS BEING THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.  WELL, IT IS EASTER SEASON NOW BUT I GOT TO THINKING, WHY SHOULD WE HAVE A FEW  SEASONS WHERE JESUS IS THE REASON.  WE SHOULD BE CELEBRATING HIM EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR.

IN THAT MESSAGE I TOLD EVERYONE THAT JESUS LOVES THEM.  WELL, HE LOVES YOU JUST AS MUCH NOW AS HE DID THEN.  HE IS LOVE AND THAT LOVE DOES NOT COME AND GO WITH THE SEASONS.  PEOPLE NEED TO BE REMINDED OF THIS AS I BELIEVE A LOT OF THEM FORGET. THEY GET CAUGHT UP IN THEIR EVERY DAY LIVES AND HARDLY HAVE ANY TIME FOR HIM.  HE DESERVES MUCH MORE THAN THAT.  I BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE GETTING CLOSER TO...

"SINGLENESS OF HEART" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Singleness Of Heart

Matthew 12:35, 'A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.'

MATTHEW 12:32-45

Our spirit is definitely a part of our heart, but as seen in 1 Peter 3:4, it is only a part. Sin, iniquity, unbelief, etc., come from the heart but not the born-again spirit. Hebrews 4:12 suggests that spirit and soul are both part of the heart; hence, the scriptures admonish us to believe with all our heart (Acts 8:37), have singleness of heart (Col. 3:22), and tell us our hearts can have two minds or ways of thinking (Jas. 4:8).

Even Christians still struggle with things like pride and foolishness which Jesus said came out of...

"REST AND RE-FIRE" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Rest And Re-fire

Mark 6:31, 'And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.'

MATTHEW 14:13-21; MARK 6:30-44; LUKE 9:10-17; JOHN 6:1-14

Jesus often separated Himself from others so that He could spend time with the Father. Here, we see Jesus calling His disciples apart for rest and leisure. Many zealous Christians have neglected the needs of their physical bodies and have, therefore, cut their ministries short through death or severe illness. Likewise, many have failed to take the time to be still and know God (Ps. 46:10). This will also cut your ministry short through non-effectiveness. One of Satan's deadliest...

"LIVING A GOOD CHRISTIAN LIFE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

LIVING A GOOD CHRISTIAN LIFE

ARE YOU HAVING A HARD TIME LIVING A GOOD CHRISTIAN LIFE? COULD IT BE BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT SPENDING ENOUGH TIME IN GOD'S WORD?  THE MORE TIME WE SPEND WITH JESUS, THE LESS TIME WE HAVE TO THINK ABOUT OTHER THINGS THAT DISTRACT US. WE HAVE TO GUARD AGAINST ANY TEMPTATION.  I HAVE SAID THIS MANY TIMES AND YOU WILL PROBABLY HEAR IT MANY MORE TIMES BUT YOU CANNOT BE TEMPTED BY SOMETHING YOU DON'T THINK ABOUT.  TEMPTATION STARTS IN OUR MINDS AND WE MUST DO WHAT IT SAYS IN ROMANS 12:2 WHICH IS "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

SOME PEOPLE THINK YOU CAN'T LIVE A GOOD CHRISTIAN LIFE AND STILL HAVE FUN.  LET ME TELL YOU THEY ARE WRONG.  I HAVE LIVED BOTH...

"WHAT DOES DEATH MEAN TO YOU?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-03-30

WHAT DOES DEATH MEAN TO YOU?

I GUESS SINCE I AM SO OLD THAT PEOPLE FIND IT EASY TO TALK ABOUT DEATH WITH ME.  SOME ARE AFRAID TO DIE, SOME ARE JUST CURIOUS AND I BELIEVE THERE ARE ONE OR TWO THAT JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF I WAS AFRAID TO DIE.  WELL, THE ANSWER TO THAT IS NO, I AM NOT AFRAID TO DIE.  WHEN THE LORD IS FINISHED WITH ME HERE ON THIS EARTH, I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.   WHAT IS THERE TO FEAR ABOUT DEATH, IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN.  FOR US WHO ARE, WE WILL JUST CLOSE OUR EYES FOR THE LAST TIME HERE AND OPEN THEM LOOKING ON THE FACE OF JESUS.  THAT IS NOT SCARY TO ME.  FOR YOU WHO ARE NOT BORN AGAIN, THAT IS A DIFFERENT STORY.

A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY, SOME 20 YEARS AGO, WAS ALWAYS SAYING THAT SHE WAS GOING TO DIE AT 70.  WHEN I ASK WHY SHE THOUGHT THAT WAY SHE SAID IT WAS IN THE BIBLE.  I TOLD HER THAT IT WENT...

"NO PEACE FOR THE WICKED" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-03-30

No Peace For The Wicked

Luke 9:7, 'Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some that John was risen from the dead.'

MATTHEW 14:1-12: MARK 6:14-29; LUKE 9:7-9

Others may have thought Jesus was John the Baptist risen from the dead, but as can be clearly seen by looking at Matthew's account and especially Mark's record, Herod was convinced of this personally. This illustrates Herod's own conviction of the sin John had rebuked, his guilt and torment over his even greater sin of beheading John, and his fear of John and the God he represented. As revealed in Mark 6:20, Herod once listened to John gladly. It is certain that John was preaching his favorite message of,...

JESUS IS THE ONE

DO YOU GET DISCOURAGED AND FEARFUL ONCE IN A WHILE?  WITH THE ECONOMY THE WAY IT IS AND NOW THIS VIRUS, I AM SURE A LOT OF US DO.  HEARING ABOUT SOMEONE IN THE BIBLE LET'S US KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT HAS A BAD DAY ONCE IN A WHILE. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO STAY IN THAT STATE.  GOD ALWAYS GIVES US A WAY OUT.  AS BAD AS IT IS, WE SHOULD NOT FEAR IT BUT TRUST JESUS TO TAKE CARE OF US.

IF SOME OF YOU ARE FEARFUL, LET ME GIVE YOU A FEW SCRIPTURES TO HELP YOU.

EXODUS 23:25  And ye shall serve the Lord your...

"THE UNPARDONABLE SIN" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-03-29

The Unpardonable Sin

MATTHEW 12:31, 'Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shalt be forgiven unto men: but blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.'

LUKE 12:10; MATTHEW 12:24-31; MARK 3:22-30

The word 'blaspheme' means 'to speak evil of; defame; or revile.' In context, Jesus is saying that blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is attributing the working of the Holy Spirit to the devil. Many people in the Bible did this, including Saul, who became the Apostle Paul. However, we see in 1 Timothy 1:13, that Paul said he received mercy concerning his blaspnemy because he had done it 'ignorantly in unbelief.' Therefore, the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost that Jesus warns about must be the willful...

"DO YOU REALLY TRUST JESUS?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

By DAVID A. MCMILLEN, 2020-03-28

DO YOU REALLY TRUST JESUS?

I WONDER WHY IT IS THAT SOME PEOPLE, EVEN CHRISTIANS, DO NOT TRUST JESUS?  OH, I KNOW THEY SAY THEY DO BUT DO THEY?  I BELIEVE THIS IS BECAUSE YOU CANNOT TRUST SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW.  WE WOULDN'T TRUST A PERFECT STRANGER, OR EVEN A NEW ACQUAINTANCE, WITH SOME OF THE THINGS IN OUR LIVES BUT JESUS SHOULD NOT BE A STRANGER TO ANY OF US.  GET TO KNOW HIM THROUGH HIS WORD.  HE EVEN SAYS IN JEREMIAH 29:18 THAT HE WILL DELIVER US BECAUSE WE HAVE TRUSTED HIM. "For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord".  ARE YOU TRUSTING HIM?

DO YOU KNOW WHY WE SHOULD TRUST JESUS?  UNLIKE MEN, HE NEVER LIES AND NEVER FAILS TO FULFILL HIS PROMISES.  THAT IS WHAT IT SAYS IN NUMBERS 23:19 AND PSALM 89:34. I WILL...
