I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

DON'T EVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF PRAYER. AND, WHEN YOU ASK SOMEONE TO PRAY FOR YOU, BE CAREFUL THAT IT IS NOT SOMEONE THAT IS PRAYING IN UNBELIEF. THAT MIGHT SOUND STRANGE BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SAY THEY WILL PRAY FOR YOU THAT ARE NOT EVEN BORN AGAIN. THEY THINK IT SOUNDS GOOD, OR LOOKS GOOD ON FACEBOOK, BUT WHICH GOD ARE THEY PRAYING TO. YOU CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS. MATTHEW 6:24 SAYS "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

Matthew 17:2 'And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.'
MATTHEW 17:1-8, MARK 9:1-8, LUKE 9:28-36
It is interesting to compare Jesus' transfiguration with that of Moses'. Jesus' face shone as the sun and His garment was as white as the light. This certainly exceeded what Moses experienced, and yet Jesus' face did not continue to shine when He came down off of the mountain as Moses' face did. Moses' face reflected the glory of God, but Jesus was the glory of God (Jn. 1:14; Heb. 1:3). Moses put a veil over his face to conceal the glory of God (Ex. 34:29-35) so that the people would not be afraid to come near...
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT IN THIS DAY AND AGE THAT THERE ARE STILL SOME PREACHERS AND TEACHERS SAYING THAT ONLY A FEW PEOPLE ARE CHOSEN BY GOD FOR SALVATION AND THE REST ARE WHAT THEY CALL "PREDESTINED" TO GO TO HELL? SOME OF THEM EVEN TEACH THAT NOTHING HAPPENS UNLESS IT IS GOD'S WILL AND HIS WILL IS ALWAYS DONE. DON'T THEY EVER READ AND STUDY THE BIBLE? ARE THEY REALLY NOT BORN AGAIN AND ARE LIKE THE PEOPLE IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 2:14 WHERE IT TALKS ABOUT THE NATURAL MAN INSTEAD OF THE SPIRITUAL MAN "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Luke 16:15 'And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.'

Luke 16:1 'And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.'
LUKE 16:1-18
The unjust steward was covetous. He had not been faithful to his master or to his master's debtors. He had wasted his master's goods on himself. When found out, his self-serving nature considered the options, and decided there had to be a change. He decided to use his lord's money to make friends so that when he was fired he would have someone to help him.
His master was apparently wealthy enough that he didn't take offense at the steward's discounting of the debts owed to him, but rather...
I SAW YESTERDAY THAT THE POPE SAID THAT JESUS WAS A FAILURE ON THE CROSS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE AS I READ THE BIBLE, TO ME, JESUS DID IT ALL. WHAT REALLY DISTURBED ME WAS THE FACT THAT THE AUDIENCE, I AM SURE ALL CATHOLICS, WERE CLAPPING AND CHEERING OVER WHAT HE SAID. THE BIBLE SAYS FOR US TO BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE POPE THINkS JESUS FAILED AT. HE TOOK ALL OF OUR SINS AND DISEASES ON HIMSELF AND IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, HE DIED FOR US. WHAT MORE DID THE POPE WANT.

Luke 15:28 'And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and entreated him.'
LUKE 15:25-28
If this elder son had considered his brother, he would have rejoiced at his return even as his father did. Rather, he was totally self-centered (that's pride) and became angry. This illustrates Proverbs 13:10; 'only by pride cometh contention.'
How can we esteem others better than ourselves when in truth we really think we are better than others? Some people are better athletes than others. Some are better businessmen than others. Some are better speakers than others, and so forth. First, we need to recognize that our accomplishments don't make us...
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ASKED A QUESTION ABOUT SOMETHING IN THE BIBLE AND WHEN YOU TELL THEM WHAT YOU BELIEVE, THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE WRONG ? I HAVE HAD A DISCUSSION ABOUT IT BEING A SIN TO CARVE AN ANIMAL OR SOMETHING OUT OF A PALM TREE TRUNK AND I SAID THAT I DID NOT BELIEVE IT WAS A SIN. THEY ASKED ME WHAT I DID WITH THE SECOND OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, DEUTERONOMY 5:8, WHICH READS IN THE KING JAMES VERSION "Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth."

Luke 15:20 'And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.'
LUKE 15:20
For this boy's father to have seen him 'a great way off' would imply that the Father had been eagerly awaiting his son's return. Certainly, in the spiritual
