How To Esteem Others More Than Self

Matthew 25:40 'And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.'

LET'S ALL LOVE ONE ANOTHER

WHEN I AM STUDYING THE BIBLE, I LIKE TO PICK A WORD AND FIND SCRIPTURES THAT PERTAINS TO...

Follow The Leading Of Holy Spirit

Matthew 25:14 'For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.'

The parable of the talents continues the theme of being ready for the Lord's return, but it also makes a strong point that we are accountable to the Lord for the gifts He has given us. The Lord intends us to use these gifts to further His kingdom - not keep them hidden.

This parable also shows the Lord dealing with His servants according to their own individual gifts and abilities. The servants who doubled their Lord's money were praised equally, even though one had produced two and one-half...

"BEING FRUITFUL" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

BEING FRUITFUL

ARE YOU BEARING FRUIT?  IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN YOU SHOULD BE.  JESUS SAYS YOU ARE A BRANCH AND HE IS THE VINE.  IF YOU ARE NOT ABIDING, OR CONTINUING PERMANENTLY, WHICH IS WHAT ABIDING MEANS, IN THE VINE, THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN BE FRUITFUL.  HERE IS WHAT JESUS SAID IN JOHN 15:4-5 "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."  WE LOOK AT THIS AND SAY, THIS IS GREAT, BUT IS IT? IT IS IF WE ARE BEARING FRUIT.  WE KNOW THAT JESUS IS ABIDING IN US FROM WHAT HE SAYS ABOVE BUT ARE WE ABIDING IN HIM....

Get Ready For Jesus

Matthew 24:38 'For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,'

DON'T WORRY ABOUT MATERIAL THINGS

I WAS READING MATTHEW 6 AND IN VERSES 25 JESUS SAYS NOT TO THINK ABOUT OUR LIVES OR THE THINGS WE NEED TO SURVIVE.  (MATTHEW 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?)  I WONDERED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE HOW COULD WE NOT THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS.  JESUS, HIMSELF, THOUGHT ABOUT PAYING HIS TAXES. (MATTHEW 17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.)  WHY WOULD JESUS TELL US TO "TAKE NO THOUGHT" OF THESE THINGS.

Our Hope Is In Eternity

Luke 21:18-19 'But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.'

LUKE 21:15-22

Jesus says the disciples were betrayed by parents, brothers, relatives, friends, and some disciples were even put to death. Yet, the amazing statement of Christ is that not a hair of their head will perish. The context of this statement speaks of some of the disciples dying, so this is not a promise that no physical harm will ever come. This could only refer to the resurrection.

The Greek word for 'resurrection' means 'a standing or rising up.' The resurrection is a major theme of New Testament...

"WHY DON'T THEY BELIEVE?" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

WHY DON'T THEY BELIEVE?

I HAVE WRITTEN ON THIS BEFORE BUT JUST IN CASE THERE ARE JEWISH PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT MIGHT READ THIS, I AM GOING TO WRITE ON THE SUBJECT AGAIN.

I FEEL BAD FOR ALL THE JEWISH PEOPLE AND WONDER WITH ALL THE PROPHECIES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT ABOUT JESUS BEING THE MESSIAH, WHY THEY CAN'T SEE THIS.  IT WOULDN'T BE SO BAD EXCEPT THE PROPHECIES ARE SO SPECIFIC.  I THINK, AND THIS IS JUST ME, THAT THEY DON'T EVEN READ THE NEW TESTAMENT SINCE THEY DON'T BELIEVE THE TRUTH ABOUT JESUS.  I HAVE BEEN IN A JEWISH CHAT ROOM AND TO MENTION JESUS WAS A MISTAKE.  SOME OF THEM GOT VERY HOSTILE.
