I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

JESUS WAS NOT JUST A MAN SENT FROM GOD, HE WAS GOD. GOD ALSO SENT HIS SON. BOTH ARE TRUE AND THIS IS THE MYSTERY OF THE TRINITY. IN JOHN 1:1 WHEN IT SAYS "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." WELL, AS YOU KNOW JESUS IS THE "WORD". IT SAYS IN THE 14 VERSE OF JOHN 1 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us". SO THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT JESUS IS GOD. AND JOHN 3:16-17 PROVES THAT HE IS BOTH AS IT SAYS "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
WHO IS THE GREATEST MAN WHO EVER LIVED? THAT'S RIGHT, IT IS JESUS. THE WONDERFUL THING IS THAT HE IS STILL ALIVE TODAY. WHAT OTHER RELIGION CAN SAY THAT ABOUT THEIR GOD. DO YOU KNOW WHO JESUS SAYS IS THE GREATEST? HE SAYS WE ARE WHO ARE BORN AGAIN. THAT'S RIGHT, WE ARE. THAT IS WHAT HE SAYS IN MATTHEW 11:11 "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." DO YOU FEEL THAT GREAT?
The only reason Satan ever had any right to become a prince or rule over us was because we yielded ourselves to him through sin (Rom. 6:16). Since Jesus "bore our sins in His own body on the tree" (1 Pet. 2:24), Satan no longer has power or authority over those who accept Jesus' gift of salvation. Satan has been "cast out" -- stripped of any power he had. Now he can only deceive, and if we fall for his lies, we stop God's blessings from flowing in our lives.
The reason why a believer must live a holy life, is to avoid Satan's bondage. When we obey sin, we yield ourselves to Satan, the author of that sin.Yielding to sin is yielding to a person, Satan. God doesn't impute the sin to us but the devil does. Our actions either release the power of Satan or the power of God in us.

These rivers of living water are referring to the Holy Spirit and the effects He produces in the life of the believer. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance." These qualities should flow out of us as an artesian well. They should not have to be pumped. They will flow as we conform our thinking to God's Word.
Jesus speaks of bearing fruit in John 15 and declares that ". . . without me ye can do nothing" (Jn. 15:5). This fruit is the product of the Holy Spirit, not our effort. However, since "he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit" (1 Cor. 6:17), then this fruit of the Spirit is also what our born- again spirit produces. Our spirit always has these...
