My personal Testimony

MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY
For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21
I was born and brought up in an orthodox Hindu family, where we worshiped idols and gave priority to goddesses. We were very zealous about caste; we used to ridicule people of lower castes and tribal people. We even thought that Christians were also of the low caste. This is why we never allowed any Christians or low-caste people into our home nor did let alone touch them. We had our own isolated puja (prayer) room in our house, which contained 27 pictures of various idols. Twenty years ago our entire family was attacked by witchcraft, performed by our neighbor. Consequently, my mother and I were demon possessed. For example, while we were starting to have our food, the cooked rice turned into worms. Many nights we couldnt sleep because we heard somebody knocking at our door at nights, but when we opened the door no one was there. In the morning, we woke up to see all our things scattered about. We approached many magicians to try to get rid of these problems and demons. We spent a lot of money and went to many Hindu temples to offer money and materials. But we couldnt find any deliverance, rather the problems increased even more than before. At last, one Sunday all eight of our family members decided to commit suicide. But fortunately a lady who was serving in a Catholic Church behind our home passed through our house. She asked us, "Why do you look very sad?" As she was talking to my grandmother, the lady entered our home and looked into our puja (prayer) room. Then she said, "In this puja (prayer) room you are keeping many gods, pictures and idols. Did any god died for your sins, except Jesus Christ?" Though we had read some books about Hinduism, we never found any god like Jesus, who died on the cross and who was resurrected from the dead.
Finally we confessed that Jesus is the only God, who died for our sins. Then we shared our problems with the lady and she invited us to attend church. Miraculously, our family escaped from committing suicide. We obtained peace of mind but as we discovered later, not full deliverance from the demons. After some time, one of my mothers colleagues invited us for an all-night prayer meeting at the Church of South India (Madras), which we attended for seven months. But on the seventh month the demons attacked my mother and me more vigorously. Then the pastor told us about confession of sin and salvation through Christ. The same days my mother was delivered, but I was yet to receive any deliverance. My parents sincerely repented and were baptized. We went back home burned all our idols, pictures, etc.
Three months after my parents` conversion, I was again terribly attached by the demons and laid in bed unconscious for seven days. Even my parents lost hope that I would gain consciousness again. But the pastor from the Pentecostal Church prayed without taking a drop of water for seven days and I got life back. Thorough this event, all the rest of our family came to the Lord and since that time our entire family have been devoted only to Christ. All this occurred in 1979. After that I went on to further study. While I was completing my degree the Lord called me to serve him full time. He confirmed my call through Luke 6:13 \"AND WHEN DAY CAME HE CALLED HIS DISCIPLES AND CHOSE TWELVE OF THEM, WHOME HE ALSO NAMED APOSTLES\'. I had the privilege of studying the word of God for three years in a seminary (B.D) school at Dehra Dun Uttranchel in North India. There I received the burden for Punjabis to share the love of Jesus Christ and in 1993, I became a pioneer missionary along with my family. I worked as Project Manager under World Vision in Dehra Dun in the state of Utter Pradesh. I was promoted as Coordinator and transferred to Chandigarh when the Lord spoke to me in 1993 to be a church planter.
EARLY MINISTRY (START UP) ESTABLISHMENT OF OUR CHURCH
"Go into all the world and preach the good news "Mark 16:15
In 1993 my wife and I were called, by the Grace of God to go into Northern India, a place where the Gospel had not been preached. At that time I had been working as project coordinator for World Vision in Chandigarh the state capital of Punjab and Hariyana in Northern India. The Lord put on our hearts to become a church planter. Since then we prayed and asked God to send us to a place where there were no Christians nor church. He led us through a brother in Christ to a village known as Maloya where we found no Christian nor church. Here in the village of Maloya is having 5 Hindu temples and 4 sikh temples and 2 Muslim Mosque but no church at all.
The people of Maloya are Hindu, Sikh and Muslim. We used walk everyday 18 km round trip to hand out Gospel tracts to the people of Maloya We had started given out the tracks although the people were not interested to receive such tracks particularly Christianity . Many people mocked us, because they thought we were there just to have fun and not work. For one year there was no response in our ministry in that village. It was very hard on us because we had no family there and no friends to encourage and help any way. But, we continued with encouragement of the Word of God. One day a Hindu man stopped us and questioned what we were doing. Then we introduced ourselves as full time ministers of God and stated that we are to help the people to make known one real and loving and eternal God .We shared our testimony and the Gospel with him. He was very much attracted to our message and us. He soon shared his problems with us that he was being suffering from epilepsy since 25 years. Event he doctors were given up him. He also was in great financial debt. We conversed with him that there is hope in the Lord Jesus Christ . That very day, he and his family accepted Jesus as their savior. We prayed for him and he was delivered from epilepsy and soon after he got a job as a cook and got out of debt and was able to keep his home. And as a family they had taken off all the idols and other stuff in connection of. We had began praying, teaching and counseling them over a month. Their neighbors tried to discourage them from associating with the Christians. One woman, who had been possessed by a spirit (goddess), and said you were worshiping me since childhood and I amtruegoddess , do not believe them. It was seem like they were getting confusion and discouragement. So we had invited them to our house for a meal and prayed and taught the scriptures. Instantly they had been so much encouraged and helped by the Word of god. And they became so strong and stood with the Word of God. Since then they began to come to our house for prayer and fasting. They were so amazed at the love we showed them that they decided to never return to Hinduism. At last we had given a discipleship training at our house about 3 months. Because of they strong faith and healing they started witnessing to their own family those are rejected them after they became Christians by immersion baptism. Praise the Lord! After this, one by one his extended family came to know Jesus as their savior. Many other people in the community also heard of the miracles that happened and came to hear about this hope. In ten years time, we have had the privilege of baptizing 350 new believers from the village of Maloya. Most of them delivered from possession of demons and healed from incurable diseases and debts as well.
Our church has grown so much that we are in need of expanding building. Currently we are having a very small building to hold our services. By the grace of God from our own church we raised five servants of God, those who had been saved from Hindu community through our ministry from Maloya and sent them to different parts of Punjab as a missionary There are five Sunday school centers have been established and VBS also being conducted every year June. Also, we have a day care center for poor children where children are collected from streets and poor homes etc and given a meal and education without collecting any money from this poor community. These are the channels been used to drawn adults and children for Christ Kingdom in this persecuting area for Christianity. In spite of every hurdles and opposition for Gospel the Kingdom of God is extending by preaching and teaching and seminars and Sunday Schools (WE HAVE ESTABLISHED SO FAR 6 CENTERS WITH 60 CHILDREN IN EACH CENTER) etc.

JESUS IS ONLY LIVING GOD

Religion/Philosophy

These are the testimonies of how the Lord wrought His miracle power in the life andministryofmywife and I while we were planting a church in a village known as Maloya, chandigarh North India.
Is there any thing hard for Him? Nothing Northing absolutely Northing( )Gen.18;14, Jeremiah 32:26, 27,Luke 18:27

TRANSPORTATION MIRACLES:

In 1993 we started aministryin Maloya village - We had to walk 18Km every day to get there from our home. One Sunday we walked along as we always did withmyolder son Sam (6 months). We had to leave our house at 7am to reach Maloya by about 10 am since we had no transportation of our own.

When we arrived at Maloya we discovered that the house we had hired was empty- not a single person was there! We spread out a carpet and on our
knees we prayed, worshiped and sang to the Lord. I began to share from the Word as if there were more people there than justmywife and six month old son, Sam.. We put our offering into the offering box. After the service we went to leave.
We hadnt ate or drank all day so we decided to head home to prepare some rice and grains. The weather was so hot though andmyson was getting restless so we decided to take a rickshaw. Normally the Rickshaw puller would ask 20 Rupees for this journey but by faith we asked one rickshaw puller how much it would cost to bring us to home sector 44c from Maloya village and he asked for only 8 Rupees(Rupees)! This was exactly what we had in our hands! We were so surprised we asked the Rickshaw puller three times but He said , Yes sir every time. Again, it was shocking and surprising to us and we praised God when he brought us to home for Rs.8 instead of Rs.20. Praisethe Lord!!!! It was first miracle that he did in ourministry.

Second Miracle: About Gas

By Gods grace after one year I was able to get a scooter formyfamily and I to use forministryas well. As far a field as 300 KM away on occasions! On one occasion there was a brother from Kenya who worshiped with us with us who invited me to go his house for prayer after Sunday worship. He had asked me to be there for exactly 5 pm and so after a couple of hours rest I started the journey. However, One and a half km intomyjourneymyscooter got stuck in the mud and stopped!

Then I checked the engine- it seemed fine but the starter just would not start. I checked the gas and the tank was empty but I had no money at all.So in the very spot wheremyscooter had stopped I began to Praise the Lord and ask him for a miracle . All of a sudden there was another brother from Kenya who was coming tomyhouse to see me for prayer and fellowship and he asked me why I was stopped there.

Before I could answer he said that he came to spend some time praying and fellowshipping with me and so I told him to come in a couple of hours. He said said he was in no hurry and that prayer and fellowship was not the main reason for his visit and that he wanted to give me a small gift.

He handed me an envelope and asked me to pray for the gift and for him. After I prayed he left and returned to his home. Then I opened the envelop and saw Rs.500/- wow!!!! I began praising God and took the money to gas station only 15 minutes away. I got enough gas and went to that brother's house and had prayer with him and he blessed me abundantly. I was praising God and thanking him!

Jesus is only Great Deliverer

There was a woman named Muniyamma, who had been possessed by goddesses (demons) and used to tell oracles in Maloya where our church is located. While we were ministering the Word and distributing tracts we saw her and talked with her sharing our testimonies. After a month she came to our church asking us to pray for healing of her stomach pain. Then Daisy and I started praying for her, instantly she fell down on the floor, screaming, and rolling all over the floor in the church, she was un-conscience. No one present could control her for one hour, we kept praying, then she was conscious and we kept proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and said that she should deny the gods and goddesses and confess her sins and accept the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior. Because she had such a great reputation in the village for speaking oracles she wouldn't accept Christ. We prayed and fasted for her a week and more.
After a month again she started coming regularly to church but had not been delivered from demon possession.
As we were again praying for her, in church, she went into a fit falling down and rolling around breaking things as her body flung about. The congregation started praying with us to seek deliverance of her from demon possession. After the demons let her up she left without Christ.

After one month the Lord Jesus set her free from the possession. Praise theLord!
Her family did everything they could to prevent her from getting to church but she was provided with times to make some meetings.
One fine day she was cooking a meal for her family, 8 children and her husband. It was about 8 pm, she had cooked rice and other dishes. She started serving food to the children and husband. Her husband found a tail in the last handful of rice and another one found the head of that Lizard.
They were all fearful as this Lizard was deadly poison! Everyone became scared; would they live or die. Muniyamma asked the family to call thePastor to pray for them and after a long discussion, they called at 11:15
pm. I rushed along with Daisy andmyolder son (Sam) to their house. It was with great joy to see them welcome us in their house. They explainedthe Lizard problem in their food and they were under great fear of death!
It was a wonderful situation for us to tell the Gospel to them and encouraged them to trust the Lord Jesus as their Savior and Lord.Immediately the family said that if the Lord gives them life surely they will become His children and they would denounce other gods and goddess. We prayed and pleaded to our Lord Jesus Christ for their lives to be safe. Mark 16:18

The next day they all visited our bible study and they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This miracle opened the door to her village so the Gospel of Jesus Christ could be preach. This showed all the neighbors of Muniamma how Jesus is all powerful and the only Living God!!!!!!!

sacrifice

Religion/Philosophy

Sacrifice ( By Jagan)

It is the word which is usually mentioned there are different Greek words all these ultimately mentioned aboutsacrifice. For example Abraham who was ready tosacrificehis son Issac for God and Jesus is a perfectsacrificedfor you and me who are so far called SINNERS BY DISOBEDIENCE OF HIS WORDS AND VERSES The real meaning of thesacrificeis not just giving away which is extra and surplus but which is dear and near to have for ourselves, either for our protection or security or pleasure or for our generation. WHAT YOU HAVE FOR YOUR LIFE GIVING AWAY FOR WORST OR HOPELESS This is thing we could see in the life of Jesus who is perfect Savior and Deliverer from sins Philp 2:4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Because .1 love to help 2. Having interest on others without selfishness and bios 3. Showing how valuable you are 4. To give his grace to be own child or children.Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became a man, in order to save us from the sin that entered the world through first Adam. "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned" (Romans 5:12).Since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might destroy Him who holds the power of death - that is, the devil - and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death" (Hebrews 2:14-15).

One time my wife Daisy took a Hindu lady who had been introduced by a believer to our house her name is Rajmati. Her husband is alcoholic he beats and some time he cease her out after drunk she goes to filed and picks grains and paddy to feed her 5 children because husband never care about the children nor he gives money to look after children. One night about 11.00 O'clock he beaten her badly and kicked her out of house along with children. Then she called me on telephone and explaining situation and there was none to helper out immediately I went to see her and she was on street then me and my wife decided to give place to her in our church. That time we used to worship in house which was consisted two small rooms. Finally we helped her out to stay in that building for a week till her husband call her back to home. We had given food and my wife she took her to our house in order to give some clothing. In India we have iron shelf with locker. What my wife Daisy did is that she opened her shelf and asked the lady to choose any thing that she wanted. She had chosen very good and expensive and very much my wife likes to have it which I bought for her wedding anniversary. Then the lady (Rajmati) took and said DHANNIAWATH sisterJI (in Hindi) thanks) my wife was very gladly given to her. Finally she got saved and baptized after few days and she removed all the idols although she confronted many problems with her relatives and her own husband this is one of thesacrificethat my wife had done in the ministry. That is why we call Christian ministry is the ministry ofsacrifice. Most of the time we could see people give away because already they have better or the same. But in the case of our Lord and Savior Jesus was not that way He completely given away his life for us without sparing for himself that is calledsacrifice.

Hissacrificeis utterly selflessness and love fullness. Because He is our real friend and older brother.Sacrificenever anticipates anything back but always showing generosity to reach out someone who is in great need. Worship withoutsacrificeis sin said by Mahatma Gandhi. He consider that this is one of the seven deadly sins Yes as secular leader feels that way how much more as spiritual brothers and sisters we must consider theSacrificeis most important in our life in a way to please the Lord and to help others those are in great need, Because of Lord Jesus is living and loving God who set an example to us to live a life which must impact the others to drawn for a great salvation which is offering freely to every one. Surely the brothers and sisters those are having mind and deed ofsacrificeshall not loose their rewards in heaven as a return of theirsacrificefor good cause of Gospel and His children. Letsacrificefor the sake of our Lord Jesus who is worthy to praises Amen!!!! Let us give thanks to God such great and beloved and begotten son Jesus was given as whole for us Amen Hallelujah

Remember Jim Elliet and his team in missionaries in Ecuador, William Carey in North India, William W. Borden (1887-1913). American missionary to Muslims in China

Let move on next level of reaching People for Christ!!!!!
