Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your wonderful promise of peace and comfort when I need it. You have lifted sorrow from me many times in my life. I am truly grateful, as I would not have been able to bear it without the strength and comfort of the Holy Spirit. May I be sensitive to those who are hurting, and reach out and bring that same comfort to them. I am thankful that we shall see all of our loved ones in Christ once again, when we all get to heaven. How wonderful it is to have the hope that is ours as Your children. Blessed be Your name! I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for forgiving me of my sins. Lord, I now need Your love for the sinners that touch my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I might love them the way You love them. Jesus, show me how to reach out to those that are coming against me in an evil way. May I demonstrate Your love in such a way that they will want to know You, the One who gives us love for our enemies. Fill me daily with Your love and grace so that I am a good example of what it means to be a Christian. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am glad that You are that High Tower that we can run into, when we need defense from the enemy of our souls. Lord, keep me from pride and deliver me from all that would offend You. I do appreciate being able to read the Bible and find strength and comfort within its pages. Lord, I acknowledge You as my God and my King. I rely on You, and You alone, and do not put my confidence in my own self, nor any other man. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for being a God of compassion. May we, as Your children, have Your compassionate heart also. Lord, give us wisdom as to how we should deal with those who are sluggards. Let us help them by sharing Your love with them; but Lord, may we be strong enough to say no to people who are manipulating us in order to use us for the wrong purposes. Give us Your discernment so that we know when people are lying to us, and the wisdom and love to respond in the proper way. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I do want to be close to You, so help me to spend the time in prayer, and reading Your Word in order to make that a reality. And Lord, when You do speak something to my heart, help me to obey You and not resist the things You are asking me to do. Lord, I also want to be a peacemaker, so fill my mouth with Your Words of wisdom when I encounter an opportunity to minister to those who are opposed to each other. Also, help me to remain in peace with those in my circle of acquaintances. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, We are grateful that You are trustworthy and we want to be like You. Lord, may our words in the world, line up with Your Words in the Bible. Lord, we want to act with integrity in all of our ways. May we always be honest in our dealings with all people. Give us discernment when others are lying to us, so that we do not get trapped into any unholy alliances. Lord, let us be good and loving neighbors so that our neighbors will desire to know You by the demonstration of our lives in this world. I ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your words of wisdom in dealing with tale bearers. May we have the courage to go to a brother or sister who has sinned against us, and confront them in love, in order to try and win that one. Lord, deliver me from any spirit of gossip, so that I not only do not speak amiss, but also give me the grace to refuse to listen to others who gossip. By walking away, I will not be adding fuel to the fire of gossip. May I speak kindly and graciously of others and defend those who are targets of a gossipper. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, We are grateful that You are a merciful God and we appreciate Your love toward us when we fail You. Lord, set us free from any trace of guile, and forgive those who have used treacherous words against us. Lord, warn us when people are trying to deceive us with smooth words, so that we are not tricked into any agreements that are not of You. Have mercy on those whose sins are exposed before all and cause their shame to turn them back to You in repentance. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
