4 Incredible Albums!

By James Banfield's Top 20 Songs, 2012-03-26

As you all know, WE have a few OUTSTANDING ARTISTS here at Indie Gospel Artists. I have a nice system to listen to the songs on the various players on the net, the player that Ken chose to use on this site is excellent and I can hear most everything with this system. But ... It is nothing like when you have the album in your hand and play the tracks right from the Disc. No comparison at all. I am going to recommend 4 Albums that I believe you should get. Not only because they are good solid albums but that when you hear these 4 Albums on your Stereo or Computer through a nice system, there is clarity, separation, awesome Mixing that you don't hear on a net player.  Case in point, Here are the 4 Albums

"Transition"                                Barry and Teena Winslow

"Its All About You"                     Gary Weldon Sr.

"The Mission"                             Ed Pettersen

"From My...

By James Banfield's Top 20 Songs, 2012-05-11

Not to pat myself on the back, but I want to share something with you all....  it's great to receive messages such as this from the folks out there. it shows that its working as planned... its just that we need to magnify it a bit more..

Case in point ...

JB,

You are really helping me with your top ten.  I have been on the charts in Nashville with everything I've released but it's really great to know you are on someones chart for no other reason than that you make good music .  There is no gray area in it. It is very exciting and refreshing to look on your site and see my music and music from other friends of mine showcased!! I just hope this site can be broadened to the masses!!! You guys rock!!!! Thanks for what you see in Same Altar, from what I hear we may have a winner here!!  God Bless you and keep up the good work!!     Pete

And there is this one ....

I am happy for Ed Pettersen. His whole album is...

Indie Gospel Artists - We are making a Difference ! !

By James Banfield's Top 20 Songs, 2012-05-31

SGNScoops.com is as national magazine devoted to the Gospel Music Scene.  Yesterday's Interview with its Publisher Rob Patz and Editor in Chief Rhonda Frye was enlightening, encouraging, and inspiring.  But that is not why this blog post.

You see, Indie Gospel Artists is now on the National scene!  We have "Raised the Bar" . By being recognized  by SGNScoops.com  Indie Gospel Artists now has a reputation to maintain. We need to keep putting class A songs in the mix. Whether it be the Indie Gospel Artists 20 Featured songs, or JB's Indie Gospel Top Ten Chart. WE need to really have great material listed in those players. Here's why. Now that IGA  in coming on the National and International  scene we are now being looked at, to see if we really do have a quality group of artists in the Posted Players lists Such as the two that I mentioned above. A&R people will be coming to IGA to surf around,...

A Decision for the membership - R U Up to it?

By James Banfield's Top 20 Songs, 2012-06-01

I have had a few people, not a whole lot, mention that they really like the song "Jesus - You Got Me" Personally it was kind of neat to see it hit #4 but I received this message from Gary Weldon Sr. It is a heart felt plea.. After you read this message, please send your response to Gary Weldon Sr. so that he will have a running tally of what the verdict is  to what he wants to do.    Here is his plea:

From: Gary Weldon Sr.  (Reference to "Jesus - You Got Me" by James Banfield

"Mr . James ! I humbly forfit my current possition on your chart ! Please place my song " "My Father Says" at # 7 & please place yours @ # 4  It is well deserving and touches my spirit everytime I listen . After learning of what you have gone through I would not dare to compare my gifts to yours. God has truly blessed you my friend, you have chosen to endure this...
