Another 21 verse salvation tract

By James J Dougherty, 1999-11-30

                                    Another 21 verse salvation tract

Here is another 21 verse salvation tract stating the reasons we needs saved and that Jesus willingly went to the cross so that we can be saved

these verses in Romans state all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

(Romans 6:23)  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

This message is strengthened by these three verses in Romans five saying how Jesus died for us while we are yet sinners.

(Romans 5:7)  For one will scarcely die for a righteous person--though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die--

(Romans 5:8)  but God shows his love for us in that while we were...

warnings in scripture a bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-27

Warnings in scripture a teaching and bible study

I want people to take heed to what they do for the end times are here and people will become more and more evil and do as they will without regard for others, and the bible does firmly state in Ezekiel that we are indeed to warn people of evil and of the danger of sin

First is the statement in Ezekiel chapter 3 also that if it stops a righteous man from sinning it saves Him as well as the person supposed to do the warning

(Ezekiel 3:16)  And at the end of seven days, the word of the LORD came to me:

(Ezekiel 3:17)  "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.

(Ezekiel 3:18)  If I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his...

Biblical salvation teaching and study featuring the old testament

Here is a bible study and teaching featuring scriptures dealing with salvation and some repentance in the old testament, as well as one prophecy of Jesus.

I am starting this bible study with the story of Man’s fall and His need for Jesus

(Genesis 3:1)  Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?"

(Genesis 3:2)  And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden,

(Genesis 3:3)  but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'"

(Genesis 3:4)  But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.

(Genesis 3:5)...

Salvation teaching featuring the gospels

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-28

                                    Salvation teaching featuring the gospels

I am now doing a teaching of the message of salvation featuring the gospels, especially the one in the gospel of John, where Jesus put most of His Salvation teaching.

The purpose of Jesus was explained to Joseph in these verses in Matthew chapter 1

(Matthew 1:20)  But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 1:21)  She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."

In Matthew though Jesus did express His purpose of coming in some select verses here

(Matthew 20:18)  "See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will...

Salvation teaching featuring the epistles

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-28

                        Salvation teaching featuring the epistles

Here is a salvation teaching featuring the various relevant scriptures dealing with the subject of salvation and getting saved from the various different epistles of the New Testament, from the epistle to the Romans to the epistle of 1 John.

Paul himself speaks of the motivation of this project and all witnessing for that metter, very well in Romans chapter 1

(Romans 1:13)  I want you to know, brothers, that I have often intended to come to you (but thus far have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you as well as among the rest of the Gentiles.

(Romans 1:14)  I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.

(Romans 1:15)  So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.

(Romans 1:16)  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for...
