repentance and salvation teaching

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-29

                        Repentance and salvation teaching

I am doing another repentance and salvation teaching starting with three Psalms of repentance. The first one is Psalms 32 which indicates blessed are those whose transgressions aren’t counted. It also implies the Lord does chasten and punish but it does exhort repentance and prayer as well.

(Psalm 32:1)  A Maskil of David. Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

(Psalm 32:2)  Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

(Psalm 32:3)  For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

(Psalm 32:4)  For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

(Psalm 32:5)  I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to...

Salvation gospel tract featuring Timothy and 1 John

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-29

Salvation tract featuring Timothy through John verses

Here is a salvation tract featuring verses from the epistles of 1 Timothy, Titus, Peter, and 1 John and other verses of the bible.

I am starting this tract though with the fact that all have fallen short of His glory in Romans chapter 3

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

(Romans 3:25)  whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Also that we were slaves to sin and now, which we were slaves to sin and now we can be slaves to righteousness in Jesus, getting the free gift of eternal life in Jesus

(Romans 6:20)  For when you were slaves...

Salvation tract featuring Romans and Hebrews

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-29

Salvation tract featuring verses from Romans and Hebrews

Here is a tract featuring some teachings in Romans and in Hebrews. I am starting though by reminding us that we all have fallen short of God’s expectations as stated in Romans chapter 3

(Romans 3:23)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

(Romans 3:24)  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Also that we were slaves to sin and now, which we were slaves to sin and now we can be slaves to righteousness in Jesus, getting the free gift of eternal life in Jesus

(Romans 6:20)  For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

New salvation tract from original sin to salvation

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-29

New salvation tract from original sin to salvation

I am starting this salvation tract with the story of Man’s fall and His need for Jesus, then going to show the need for Jesus because of the fall, how we all fall short, then also the prophecy on Jesus and how God did indeed offer us this wonderful gift of salvation and eternal life through the atoning death of Jesus.

(Genesis 3:1)  Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?"

(Genesis 3:2)  And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden,

(Genesis 3:3)  but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'"

(Genesis 3:4)  But the serpent said to the woman,...

Jesus to save people salvation teaching

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-30

Jesus to save people salvation teaching

I am giving verses where Jesus expresses His purpose to come and to save people from their sins and all and also other salvation verses in the New Testament that express Jesus’ purpose and remind us that none can be saved but by what Jesus did on the cross and nothing else, nothing at all.

The purpose of Jesus was explained to Joseph in these verses in Matthew chapter 1

(Matthew 1:20)  But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 1:21)  She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."

In this series of parables, three of them, in Luke chapter 15, Jesus explains the value of the lost being saved not only to...

Salvation tract featuring Luke 9 56

In this verse Jesus said He came to save man’s lives and not destroy them and all the following verses in the tract support the verse and show you how to get this free gift of salvation of God’s grace by faith and NOT by anything that we do.

(Luke 9:56)  For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them."

And they went to another village

A very similar meaning is obtained by these two verses in John 3

(John 3:16)  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:17)  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Even more strongly is this stated in the  five verses in Romans 5 that Christ died for us while we were yet sinners

(Romans 5:6)...
