Salvation teaching and tract featuring acts 4

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-30

Salvation tract and teaching featuring Acts 4

Here is a salvation tract featuring the verses in acts 4 where the apostles state that by no other name than by Jesus can people be saved.

Also here in Acts 4 it is stated that nobody can be saved by the Name of Jesus- this state by the Apostles while being questioned by the rulers and others after a man’s healing in Acts chapter 3

(Acts 4:8)  Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:

(Acts 4:9)  If we today are being judged for a good work to a weak man, by what means he has been made well,

(Acts 4:10)  let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by this name this man stands here before you whole.

(Acts 4:11)  This is the 'stone...

An end times teaching and bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-31

An End times teaching and bible study

As I was reading a passage in Acts 2 which I will share, I feel led to do an end times teaching featuring that, and also the Joel chapter 2 chapter which it draws from, and other end times scriptures which I believe are taking place even now with people.

Here is the Joel 2 chapter which not only encourages a time of repentance but also prophesies a great time with a huge outpouring of the Spirit, a time which I am led to believe we are in now and will accelerate more and more until the Lord comes back to rapture His bride

(Joel 2:1)  Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming; it is near,

(Joel 2:2)  a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness! Like blackness there is spread upon the mountains a great and powerful people; their...

book of Acts salvation teaching and study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-31

                                                Acts Salvation teaching and study

Here are several different in the book of  Acts where people are witnessed to by the Apostles and the Apostles were indeed even persecuted, then by the jealous Jews but also this teaching covers the founding of the church and some other noteworthy developments. These people are examples to us today too.

Here also is the full acts 2 sermon where Peter preached to the people after they wondered at the apostles speaking in their own language after the Holy Spirit had spoken to them and also the results are given- 3000 new souls were added to the church with this falling of the Holy Spirit or Pentecost day.

(Acts 2:14)  But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.

(Acts 2:15)  For these people are not drunk, as you...

Miracles in Acts bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-07-31

                                                Miracles in Acts bible study

Here is a bible study of various miracles in Acts starting from Pentecost and going on, and it covers many different types of miracles, all of which had it main motivation to get people saved and so the new church could be founded and grow which it did so very rapidly

The start of Acts chapter 1 tells of Jesus last words to the apostle before being taken up to heaven miraculously

(Acts 1:1)  In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach,

(Acts 1:2)  until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.

(Acts 1:3)  He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

(Acts 1:4)  And while staying with them he...

the day of the Lord an end times bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-01

The Day of the Lord End Times bible study

Here are scriptures in the prophetic books and the new testament that refer to the day of the Lord, in order that they appear. I am doing that because I myself believe we are not far from this day of the Lord, which would likely include the rapture of the believers, the seven year tribulation period and more. Nowadays Christians have hope in it because it means eternity with the Lord and away from this cruel and evil world, which the day of the Lord will judge.

Isaiah chapter 2 speaks of the day of the Lord in that the proud will be humbled and people will enter into the rocks and such

(Isaiah 2:10)  Enter into the rock and hide in the dust from before the terror of the LORD, and from the splendor of his majesty.

(Isaiah 2:11)  The haughty looks of man shall be brought low, and the lofty pride of men shall be humbled, and the LORD alone...

Salvation teaching featuring the John 20 verses

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-01

John chapter 20 Salvation teaching and tract

Here is a salvation teaching and tract on John chapter 20 where Jesus commissions His disciples but Thomas doubts until Jesus shows up to Him directly when Thomas then essentially repents of His doubt and says “My Lord and my God” Jesus then states blessed are those who believe without seeing Him first

(John 20:19)  Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace to you."

(John 20:20)  And having said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

(John 20:21)  Therefore Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you."

(John 20:22)  And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to...

Salvation teaching call on the Name of the Lord

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-01

Salvation teaching call on the name of the Lord

Here are some verses in the bible which state that all those who call upon the Name of the Lord will be saved

Here are the verses in Acts chapter 2 which also promise an outpouring of the spirit, a quote from the book of Joel, which indicates that the prophecy is important.

(Acts 2:16)  But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:

(Acts 2:17)  "'And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;

(Acts 2:18)  even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

(Acts 2:19)  And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;

Jesus says I am the way salvation tract

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-01

Jesus says I am the way salvation tract

Here in this tract I am featuring the first seven verses of John chapter 14, where Jesus says He is preparing a place for us and will receive us again and that Jesus is the only way to the Father.

(John 14:1)  "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

(John 14:2)  In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

(John 14:3)  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and I will receive you unto Myself; so that where I am, there you may be also.

(John 14:4)  And where I am going you know, and the way you know."

(John 14:5)  Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"

(John 14:6)  Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the...
