Seven chapter salvation bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-26

                                    Seven chapter salvation bible study

I am making a seven chapter salvation related bible study which will include chapters from Romans and John and also 1 Corinthians 15, the resurrection chapter which explains that our hope is that Jesus did in fact rise from the dead.

My first chapter is Romans chapter 3 which explains that all have fallen short of God’s glory, and that none have done right but people can get the free gift of God through Jesus

(Romans 3:1)  What then is the superiority of the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision?

(Romans3:2)  Much in every way! First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

(Romans 3:3)  For what if some did not believe? Surely their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God?

(Romans 3:4)  Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar, just as it is written: "That You may be justified in...

bad decisions and their consequences bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-27

                                    Bad decisions and their consequences

Bad decisions- we all make them but then we must all pay for them by taking the consequences for them- I include myself in that, too. Often these bad decisions are made hastily without thought of things, other times they even can be premeditated too and malicious. Whatever the cause of the bad decision, there always will be consequences for them. I present in this study various chapters which illustrate some of the bad decisions made and the consequences made because of them. This is not exhaustive but gives a good idea.

In Genesis chapter 3, Adam and Eve made the decision to disobey God and eat the forbidden fruit, although they were tempted by the serpent. The failure to resist would put all mankind under sin for eternity as well as get them kicked out of the garden of Eden. God would eventually remedy the sin problem by sending Jesus

(Genesis 3:1)  Now the serpent was more...

another salvation bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-27

                                    Another Salvation bible study

Here are a group of chapters dealing with salvation related issues like the fall of man, His need for a savior, God’s reaching out to Him, repentance and more even including the story of the Pentecost. God wants people saved.

(Genesis 3:1)  Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?"

(Genesis 3:2)  And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden,

A third salvation bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-27

                                    A third Salvation bible study

Here is yet another salvation bible study bringing the good news of salvation through what Jesus did on the cross. First, the fact remains that all have turned aside and none do right, not even one as stated in Psalm 14

(Psalm 14:1)  To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.

(Psalm 14:2)  The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.

(Psalm 14:3)  They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.

(Psalm 14:4)  Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD?

(Psalm 14:5)  There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of...

Salvation and beyond bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-28

                                    Salvation and beyond bible study

Here is a bible study which not only will give some salvation scriptures but also I am including various chapters to help grow and guide you beyond salvation.

Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar, just as it is written: "That You may be justified in Your words, and You may overcome when You are judged."

twelve chapters from the epistles bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-28

Twelve chapters from the epistles bible study

Here are twelve selected chapters from the epistles chosen to help encourage and strengthen your walk with God in the hopes of encouraging spiritual growth and maturity, God could even use some of these to bring people to salvation, for nothing is too hard for Him, though the main purpose of this study is to feed the brethren the good word of God.

First chapter to be used in this study is Romans 12 which exhorts us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God and then explains how we are the body of Christ and the many varied ministry gifts out there, including teaching and serving.

(Romans 12:1)  Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your intelligent service.

(Romans 12:2)  And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the...

Personal bible study seven chapters from Matthew

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-29

Personal bible study seven chapters from Matthew

Here are seven chapters from the gospel of Matthew. Every one of them have powerful things to say to the people to apply to their lives, and the teaching is done largely by none other by Jesus Himself, in both lectures and parables. He speaks of many things including the end times.

In Matthew chapter 6 Jesus gives instructions on how to give to the poor, how to pray with a sample prayer, and even how to fast, doing all to God and hidden to man. We are to lay up treasures in heaven, not earth, serving God not money and to trust God for all things and take things one day at a time for the current day has enough to deal with without thinking on the future

(Matthew 6:1)  "Take care not to be doing your charitable giving before men, so as to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have not a reward from your Father in heaven.

(Matthew 6:2)  Whenever therefore you do...

Personal bible study from Mark and Luke

Here is a seven chapter personal bible study, mostly from Luke but also from Mark. This focuses on the end times and teachings but also features other materiel like forgiveness, redemption and more.

The first one in this study, Mark chapter 13 gives some of these end times warnings which urge people to be prepared at all times for the Lord to return and some of the events which will happen during the birth pangs and so on.

(Mark 13:1)  And as He was going out from the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, see what sort of stones and what sort of buildings!"

(Mark 13:2)  And Jesus answered and said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? By no means shall one stone be left upon another, which shall in any way escape destruction."

(Mark 13:3)  And He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James,...
