Personal bible study gospel of John

I am now doing a personal bible study with the various messages that are shared mostly by Jesus in the gospel of John to Nicodemus, the Jews, and then His disciples, with many powerful teachings for all of us to both find salvation and or grow in faith with the Lord Jesus

John chapter 3 states that we must all be born again to see the kingdom of God and heaven, and also God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life in Him all in the powerful discussion between Jesus and Nicodemus, who came to Jesus at night to question Him on things

(John 3:1)  Now there was a man of the Pharisees whose name was Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

(John 3:2)  This man came to Him by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You...

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-30

Personal bible study book of Isaiah

Here is a bible study of 12 different chapters from the book of Isaiah with differing messages for today, some are prophet some encouraging and some are filled with God’s promises to us on various things.

Up first is Isaiah chapter 6 which is where Isaiah has unclean lips which God deals with, and then the part I like is where Isaiah says here I am send me- volunteering willingly for a mission that God wants fulfilled.

(Isaiah 6:1)  In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

(Isaiah 6:2)  Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

(Isaiah 6:3)  And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his...

(Psalm 91:2)  I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

(Psalm 91:3)  For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

(Psalm 91:4)  He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

                                    Psalms and Proverbs bible study

Here is a bible study which contains seven Psalms and seven chapters of Proverbs to help you grow in your faith and to encourage you with good word.

Psalm 19 speaks of the glory of the Lord and all, and everything is heard, too

(Psalm 19:1)  To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

(Psalm 19:2)  Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.

(Psalm 19:3)  There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.

(Psalm 19:4)  Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

(Psalm 19:5)  which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.

(Psalm 19:6)  Its rising is from the...

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-30

                                    Seven prophetic chapters bible study

Here is a prophetic bible study with seven different chapters of the bible- two from Isaiah, two from Daniel, one from Joel, two from Zechariah. These speak of different prophetic events in each

Isaiah chapter 5 is the vineyard chapter too which bemoans the vineyard which while really cared for only produces bad grapes, but also speaks accurately of how people are becoming today in these end times days especially the good for evil and evil for good.

(Isaiah 5:1)  Let me sing for my beloved my love song concerning his vineyard: My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill.

(Isaiah 5:2)  He dug it and cleared it of stones, and planted it with choice vines; he built a watchtower in the midst of it, and hewed out a wine vat in it; and he looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded wild grapes.

(Isaiah 5:3)  And now, O...

Another Psalms and proverbs bible study

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-31

Another Psalms and proverbs bible study

Psalm 8 is a Psalm of praise of God in many ways

(Psalm 8:1)  To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

(Psalm 8:2)  Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.

(Psalm 8:3)  When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

(Psalm 8:4)  what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care...

Proverbs comparative study chapters 7 and 31

By James J Dougherty, 2013-08-31

Proverbs comparative study chapters 7 and 31

Here is a comparative and contrasting study between the two chapters of proverbs with women as the dominating feature of them, 7 and 31. These are actually two types of women in them which will be contrasted with each other. The first is a harlot woman who lures men to have sex with her while her husband is gone on a long journey. She does snare them in. The other lists the virtuous woman who cares for her husband and family, doing all manner of things for them in love.

Proverbs chapter 7 lists the wiles of the harlot, and warns against falling for her snares and gives details of what can happen to someone who indeed does fall into her charms and snares and commits adultery with her. It is there as a warning against evil women of that sort. As stated below these women can be transformed by the blood of Jesus into even Proverbs 31 types as nothing is too hard for...

(Psalm 25:1)  Of David. To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul.

(Psalm 25:2)  O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me.

(Psalm 25:3)  Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.

(Psalm 25:4)  Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths.
