BEFORE I GET STARTED THIS MORNING, I WOULD LIKE TO CLEAR UP SOMETHING. PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME WHY I KEEP SAYING THAT JESUS IS GOD INSTEAD OF THE SON OF GOD. HE IS BOTH. LET'S READ JOHN 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. NOW WE HAVE TO SEE WHAT THE BIBLE WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT SAYS "THE WORD WAS GOD"...WHO IS THE WORD? LET'S READ THE 14TH VERSE OF JOHN 1 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." THAT COULD ONLY BE TALKING ABOUT JESUS.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN STRESSED? I KNOW YOU HAVE, BUT HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT HOW STRESSED JESUS' DISCIPLES MUST HAVE BEEN? THEY WATCH JESUS BEING ARRESTED, BEATEN AND CRUCIFIED. ALL OF THEIR HOPES AND DREAMS WERE ROOTED IN HIM AND THEN HE WAS DEAD AND SEEMINGLY DEFEATED. NOW DO YOU THINK THEY WERE STRESSED?
THE CONFUSION, HURT AND PAIN FROM THAT ALONE WAS PROBABLY UNBEARABLE BUT THEN CAME REMEMBERING ALL THAT HAD HAPPENED. I AM SURE THEY WERE THINKING, "WE HAVE MADE SUCH SACRIFICES, LEAVING OUR FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES AND RISKING IT ALL ON THE BELIEF THAT JESUS WAS THE MESSIAH. MIGHT IT ALL HAVE BEEN IN VAIN?" "HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE THEY COME AND GET US?" YES, I THINK THEY WERE VERY STRESSED. DO YOU THINK THIS COMPARES TO...
