Book of Judges complete bible study part two
Here are all of some additional chapters to add to my bible study on judges, covering the remaining judges who would deliver Israel from her adversaries in that time period, as well as the other topics at the end of the book. Israel was in a cyclical period of apostasy with idolatry, then judgment, then repentance, then God would raise up a judge by whom who He would use to deliver from whatever adversary that was vexing and abusing them to punish them for the idolatry they had committed before repenting of it and then God showing His mercy through this or that judge. Chapters 4, 5, and 9-12,17-21 are covered in this study. For the other chapters which I am led to use in judges please go here
Book of Ruth bible study
Here is a bible study on the short book of Ruth- 4 chapters. This book has many lessons for us today even though it goes back to the time of the judges. The one character in the book, Boaz, who owns a farm is a Christ type figure who does redeem and marry Ruth, who gleaned at his farm, along with her mother in law. These are the accounts of Ruth and Naomi in Moab and Jerusalem
In chapter 1 Ruth determines to go where Naomi goes to stay with her until she dies no matter where she may go.
(Ruth 1:1) In the days when the judges ruled there was a famine in the land, and a man of Bethlehem in Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons.
(Ruth 1:2) The name of the man was Elimelech and the name of his wife Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem in Judah. They went into the...
Samuel bible study
Here I am doing a bible study on Samuel, and the people before him, like Eli, and Samuel’s mother who prayed for a son fervently. Samuel had two books of the bible named after him, covering from Samuel’s birth through the first two kings. This study will cover up to the start of the first of those two kings, and some of the events that fall like the capturing of the Ark of the Covenant.
Here is the link which is the second part of the book of Judges, which gives background information
which could help your study on Samuel

Saul and David bible study
Here is a bible study that continues where the last one left off, with the adventures and then the failure of King Saul and the rise of David, who would be anointed as Saul’s successor to the throne. The study contains the story of David’s encounter with Goliath. Here is a link to the first twelve chapters of Samuel so you can know how these situations came about:

In chapter 13 of 1 Samuel Saul first shows his disobedience to God by seemingly presumptively offering an ox as a burnt offering because the Philistines were with him, and then Samuel starts to speak of another who the Lord will...
The Bathsheba affair- a repentance bible study
We are not perfect and all succumb to temptation and the lust of the flesh at times, the thing that we all need to do after any such incidents is to repent of them to God, just as David did when he was confronted by Nathan about the issue. I am presenting the story of it, then three Psalms, numbers 32, 38 and 51 especially which is related to the Bathsheba affair, also I will include some repentance related teachings from the new testament in various books.
Here is the complete telling of the Bathsheba affair by David as told in 2 Samuel chapters 11 and 12. This tells the story from when David finds Bathsheba, to all that he did to distract her husband Uriah, and then ends up having him killed in battle. Chapter 12 deals with David being confronted with the sin, his confession that he did sin, and the consequences. God did indeed forgive David by his mercy and...
David and Solomon a bible study with 1 kings 11
Covered in here are the concluding adventures and misadventures of David, and how Solomon took over as king, and built the temple, and dedicated it. God protected David throughout his reign and then made his son Solomon wiser than any king, also wealthy. This version of the note presents a more complete story of Solomon’s reign, including the foreign wives which led him astray of the Lord
The first book to be used is 2 Samuel chapter 22 which is a powerful song of praise to praise God for delivering David
(2 Samuel 22:1) And David spoke to the LORD the words of this song on the day when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.
(2 Samuel 22:2) He said, "The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
(2 Samuel 22:3) my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the...
Elijah bible study 1 Kings 17- 2 Kings 2
This is a bible study which will cover the life and ministry of the prophet Elijah, when he pronounced and declared drought on Israel (in judgment of wicked king Ahab’s idolatry – he served Baal, not the Lord God) to when he was taken up and raptured into heaven by chariot, his successor Elisha witnessing. God used Elijah to produce several different miracles at that time thought his ministry, which are chronicled in this study. These chapters also give a record of the happenings and kings of Israel, and to some degree Judah at the time of Elijah’s ministry and prophecy.
1 Kings chapter 17 is where Elijah pronounces drought, is fed by ravens, the widows supplies are multiplied and also her son is raised from the dead
(1 Kings 17:1) Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there...
Elisha the prophet a bible study 2 Kings 3 to 13
This is to continue with Elisha, after he did indeed get the double portion of the spirit that he sought, by witnessing Elisha’s translation. Had he not seen the translation he would not have gotten it. His ministry also is filled with many miracles of provision, protection and so on. The chapters of this bible study also complete the judgment on Ahab’s house as well, as prophesied by his predecessor, Elijah, as well as give a record of the kings in Israel and Judah at the time. Here is a link to the study of Elijah as these two are indeed intertwined, and it is very worthwhile to study the two prophets together for God’s divine power is indeed displayed by them
