I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT JESUS AND PATIENCE TOGETHER. IT IS NOT THAT I THOUGHT HE HAD NO PATIENCE BECAUSE WHEN YOU THINK OF WHAT HE PUT UP WITH ON A DAILY BASIS WITH HIS DISCIPLES AND THE PEOPLE ALL AROUND HIM, YOU KNOW HE HAD TO HAVE PATIENCE. LOOK WHAT HE DID ON THE CROSS. WITH ALL THE AFFLICTIONS, PAIN, CALAMITY, PROVOCATION, AND EVIL HE ENDURED FOR US WITHOUT MURMURING AND THEN HE ASKS GOD TO FORGIVE THOSE PEOPLE WHO WERE DOING THAT TO HIM, THAT WAS NOT ONLY PATIENCE BUT PURE LOVE.

HAVE YOU EVER REALLY CONSIDERED THE POWER YOU HAVE? IF WE COULD JUST REALIZE THIS AND REALLY GET IT INTO OUR WHOLE BEING, THERE IS NOTHING WE COULD NOT DO. LET'S LOOK AT SOME OF THE THINGS JESUS DID. WELL, I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME IN MY LIFETIME TO EVEN GET STARTED BUT I AM GOING TO PICK OUT A FEW THINGS. HOW ABOUT FEEDING THE FIVE THOUSAND AND FOUR THOUSAND? HOW ABOUT WALKING ON THE WATER? HOW ABOUT ALL THOSE HE HEALED? HOW ABOUT RAISING LAZARUS FROM THE DEAD? HOW ABOUT CALMING THE SEAS? HOW ABOUT TAKING ALL THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD?

I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN THIS ON THE FIRST OF NOVEMBER BUT BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. SO, DID YOU KNOW THAT NOVEMBER IS NATIONAL ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AWARENESS AND CAREGIVER'S MONTH? PRESIDENT REAGAN DESIGNATED THIS MONTH BACK IN 1983. AT THAT TIME, FEWER THAN 2 MILLION AMERICANS HAD ALZHEIMER'S BUT AS OF THIS MONTH IT HAS SOARED TO OVER 5.4 MILLION. BECAUSE OF THIS, I DECIDED TO USE THIS MESSAGE TO BRING SOME AWARENESS TO THE DISEASE.
FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, THERE ARE THINGS WE CAN DO TO HELP WARD OFF THIS DISEASE. A FEW OF THESE ARE EXERCISE, EATING A DIET RICH IN FRUITS AND VEGGIES, KEEP YOUR MIND ACTIVE BY LEARNING SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY, GET PLENTY OF SLEEP AND CUT THE STRESS OUT OF YOUR LIFE.
