Witness Of His Glory: I think the most important part of being a musician is the message of our songs. When the Lord blesses musicians with the kind of talent that He does, is our responsibility to use it wisely. We have a calling to help the Lord spread the gospel and bring peace to people's souls through our music. Then it goes without saying that the songs have to be melodic and catchy.

My name is Michael E. Coones and I am a guitarist / Songwriter / Singer living in Orem. I've been writing original material and performing in bands for over 40 years. About 3 years ago, I almost lost my family and wife to my addiction to music and making the big time. I was selfish and self centered and NOTHING else mattered to me. I’ve always believed in God but my testimony was weak. When the breaking point happened, I was determined to give up playing and I didn't touch my guitar for over a year with the knowledge that I would never play again. I began to rebuild my relationship with God and my wife and I came to realize what was truly important in my life.
Up until that point in my life, I had always written secular music with no thought of putting religion and music together. I realized that the Lord blesses people with gifts of talent, wisdom, and a ton of other things in order for them to use these talents to bring souls unto Him and to spread His gospel to those around us. It was a HUGE awakening for me. So now, Ive decided to use that God given talent I have to write songs, and use it for the purpose it was given. God has spoken to me and I’m now listening. Out of the chaos of my sins and confusion, “Witness Of His Glory” has arisen from the ashes of my broken life.
